  • Adam LeFevre

Hi! My name is Adam LeFevre. I have been playing trombone for about 18 years, and I have a music degree from the University of Michigan where I studied Trombone performance and music theory. I have performed alongside some of the best in the business in concert bands, orchestras, jazz bands, large and small brass ensembles, and pit orchestras for musicals and operas.

Learning new instruments is a passion of mine. I have performed professionally on more than 15 distinct instruments, and have spent time learning dozens more. Through Muse, I teach 12 different instruments: Trombone, Trumpet, French Horn, Tuba, Euphonium, Clarinet, Saxophone, Piano, Banjo, Bass Guitar, Accordion, and Recorder. For clarinet and saxophone, I only teach beginners, but for every other instrument on that list, I teach all levels from beginner to aspiring pro.

I strive to promote a positive and friendly learning environment for all my students. Whether you’ve never touched a mouthpiece before, or you’ve been playing for years, I have studied with some of the best musicians in the world, and I can use all of that experience to help you take your musicianship to the next level.

Muse Music Store also has a Record Label and recording studio, and I am the lead recording engineer and producer. I was also in charge of the acoustic engineering and design for our recording studio. I have a diverse background in many different styles and genres of music recording, and I strive to bring artists to the forefront of my music production in order to give them control over the music they create.

  • S. Sean Six

Sean's musical career began at the age of nine with a rented instrument and group lessons at Reifsnyder's Music Shop in Ottumwa, Iowa, an incubator for many local musicians. His interest continued and began private lessons with Ottumwa's very own, Tony Blew.

While living in Fort Smith, Arkansas he began taking lessons with guitarist extraordinaire, Gary Hutchison. Gary plays many styles and was himself studying classical guitar with a gentleman, the late Paul Mendy. It was the introduction to Paul that changed his musical direction and introduced him to the rich tradition of the classical guitar - its music, composers, styles, and techniques.

Through Paul Mendy, he was introduced to Dr. Charles Wolzien, Head of Guitar Studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Here he completed undergraduate studies in Guitar Performance and was the recipient of the Ted and Nancy Anderson Music Award, one of the most prestigious awards offered by the College of Music. There were many opportunities to study with visiting faculty from around the world such as James Reid, University of Idaho; Michael Cedric Smith, CUNY; Greg Pikler, Sydney Conservatorium.

He then continued to graduate guitar course work at the University of Denver under the direction of Ricardo Iznaola, Chair of the Strings Department and renowned pedagogue. Again, there were many opportunities to study with performers from around the world such as Jonathan Leathwood, University of Denver; Roland Dyens, Conservatoire de Paris; Benjamin Verdery, Yale University.

Sean has worked as a contract musician for the classical music station of Denver, KVOD, and was a featured performer on The University of Colorado, Artist Series. His performances have been aired over the Colorado Public Radio and Television Networks.

  • Autumn Day

I first began studying piano at the age of 9, and continued studying on and off at both the private and college levels for about 20 years. I added private voice lessons when I turned 13, and entered a two year Actor’s Training Program after graduating from high school, where I met the voice teacher I studied with for the next 10 years. I briefly studied opera at CSU Sacramento, and made my professional opera debut at Sacramento Opera’s production of Madama Butterfly. I first began teaching about 7 years ago, and love inspiring and guiding young musicians. I’ve taught piano to students as young as 4, and have worked with students up through the intermediate levels. I work with voice students aged 8-99 in a variety of styles, including country, contemporary, music theater, and classical. I am a firm believer that anyone can learn to sing.
